Here I go

Poetry I wrote several years back

I was in a fit of brown study
But my reverie was shattered
Her eyes - the Achille's spear
Pierced my heart, rather than heal my wounds
When I first met her
I though I found my clue to happiness
I thanked Providence
But my joys were ephemeral
She left me waiting here in the dark
Finding her own dream man
Killing the spirit that I
cherished within me
I sacrificed my self for her happiness
And she payed me with silent rebuke
She's taken away the dreams I had
And today I am left with nothing
But silent tear drops which
enhances my thirst for her love.
